Fairy Tale Review is published once per year by Wayne State University Press. We publish poems, stories, and essays with a fairy-tale feel—mainstream to experimental, genre to literary, realist to fabulist. To become familiar with the breadth of work we publish, visit our lists of contributors. Information about back issues can be found below. Work from Fairy Tale Review has been selected for inclusion in The O. Henry Prize Stories Anthology, Best New American Voices, Best American Fantasy, and listed as “Notable” in Best American Short Stories, among other honors.

Single issues and subscriptions can be purchased through our publisher, Wayne State University Press. The best way to support our work is through a two-year or three-year subscription to the journal. The complete series is available at a significant discount.
